The biggest flaw with traditional wood bats is how they distribute mass. Because the barrel thickness is spread evenly down the wood, your sweet spot is relatively small. If you catch a high-velocity pitch just a fraction of an inch off dead-center, the bat vibrates, stings your hands, and results in a weak pop-up or a soft groundout.
The Torpedo model takes a completely different approach to fix this exact hitting frustration.
Instead of spreading the wood weight evenly, this bat shifts maximum barrel thickness directly into the primary contact zone—the precise area where you want to make contact with the ball. By packing extra wood density right into the hitting zone, it effectively expands your functional sweet spot. This means even slight mishits carry enough mass to drive through the ball, rewarding you with hard, deep contact that typically requires a perfect dead-center strike.
To make sure this design doesn't feel awkward through the zone, it is paired with a familiar 0.93" standard handle and a traditional knob. It keeps the classic balance, comfort, and feel of a conventional bat while giving you a massive structural advantage where it actually counts.
Built for all hitters who want their wood mass working exactly where contact is made.
