Hand-sawn, layered, and full of desert spirit, these bolo ties are inspired by Georgia O’Keeffe’s iconic work.
Each piece features a sterling silver mule deer skull (2" tall x 1 ¾" wide), crafted in two layers of silver for depth and dimension. The skull is meticulously sawed by hand, with hand-carved lines of decay etched into the surface. Behind the antlers, the back plate is hand-stamped with tiny stars and patina’d dark, evoking the desert night sky.
At the top of the skull sits a Sonoran Gold turquoise cabochon; each stone unique, with swirling green and golden tones reminiscent of the desert floor after rain.
✨ Available in two variations:
Bolero Style: Green-leaning Sonoran turquoise on a light brown leather cord (48"). Wrap it twice around the neck as a choker + lariat style, or wear long.
Classic Style: Slightly darker Sonoran turquoise on a dark brown bolo cord (38"). Sleek, masculine, and timeless.
Both cords are finished with handmade sterling silver end caps.
Pendant size: 2" tall x 1 ¾" wide
Stone: Sonoran Gold turquoise
Metal: Sterling silver, layered + hand-stamped
Cord: Light brown 48" (wrap bolero) OR dark brown 38" (traditional bolo)
✨ Symbolism: The mule deer skull has long represented endurance and beauty in the desert — O’Keeffe’s own muse. Paired with Sonoran Gold turquoise, it becomes a talisman of transformation, grounding, and the wild resilience of the Southwest.
