The 2001 NBA Finals pitted the powerhouse Los Angeles Lakers against the underdog Philadelphia 76ers. Allen Iverson, the backbone of the 76ers and in the prime of his career, was determined to establish dominance over the Lakers on the grandest stage of the NBA season, and it was in Game 1 that he hit one of the most exciting shots of his career. He crossed over Lakers guard Tyronn Lue and buried a long jump shot, stepping over Lue after the shot was made.
