At one time, the Mercy was crafted as more of a balanced bat for contact hitters, but that time has passed us by. Nowadays, DeMarini builds this bat for slow pitch sluggers participating in USA Softball (ASA) leagues. They've crafted it with a 13-inch barrel length, two-piece (all-composite) design and a fully end-loaded swing feel.
Specifically, the barrel is going to be made from the Stacked Double Wall Composite Construction that should have low compression and be ready to crank softballs right from the get-go. As well, the handle is made from the 4.ONE composite material that should be stiff and allow for increased flex at the connection point when hitting a softball. Slow pitch players love the flex feel and we think this bat will be a hit with players in USA Softball leagues; especially the sluggers.
